Whatsapp is a messaging application which is widely used by the young generation for instant messaging. The messenger let you to share videos, audios, & text messages. It is most preferred app and available just at the subscription of $0.99/ year. On 19th Feb 2015 The Facebook purchased Whatsapp for $19 Billion.
But, The major problem arise when we use dual SIM in a single Phone & forced to use whatsapp only at one number. This limitation can now overcome, i.e we can use more than 1 numbers of whatsapp account on a single device.
The Android apps like-- OGWhatsApp and SwitchMe -- allows users to run multiple WhatsApp accounts on a single smartphone device.
How to use OGWhatsapp :-
OGwhatsapp allows you to use 2 different whatsapp accounts on a Single Device.
Step 1: Firstly, Take complete backup of your WhatsApp data and restore it.
Step 2: Delete each & every WhatsApp data by ,Settings>apps>WhatsApp>Clear Data.
Step 3: Now, Rename your /sdcard/WhatsApp directory to /sdcard/OGWhatsApp.
Step 4: Uninstall, the original WhatsApp application from your device.
Step 5: Now, install OGWhatsApp in your Android Device
Step 6: Once done, Remember to verify the old number that was registered previously with the original WhatsApp account to OGWhatsApp account.
Step 7: Now re-install the official WhatsApp account for your 2nd number from the play store.
How to use SwitchMe to run Different account :-
Secondly, SwitchMe is the android app that allows you to create the different whatsapp accounts on a single devices, but this will require to root your android phone.
Step 1: Firstly, Root your Android device.
Step 2: Now, Make sure that WhatsApp app installed on your smartphone.
Step 3: Install SwitchMe on your smartphone.
Step 4: Now, Run the SwitchMe Multiple account, which will ask you Superuser request that you can grant.
Step 5: Create a user profile with your name in SwitchMe app. But profile will be an administrator account containing all the current apps & settings, this will also reflect the WhatsApp profile which is already installed on your device.
Step 6: Now create another account by different name by tapping on the Create Profile button in SwitchMe app, and then choose the Switch option by selecting this account.
Step 7: Now, your Device will restart automatically once it is done & ready to use, Now install official WhatsApp again from Google Play Store and register it for the different phone number.
