The Xiaomi at its Global Mi Phone launch in New Delhi on Thursday launched the Xiaomi Mi 4i in India priced at Rs. 12,999. The event was attended by VP Xiaomi Global Hugo Barra & CEO and Founder Lei Jun.
The smartphone will available in its first flash sale on April 30th on online shopping cart Flipkart, and can be registered up to 8 pm on Thursday.
The Xiaomi Mi 4i features polycarbonate body, with a soft touch metal finish with an anti-grease coating. The Xiaomi latest Dual-SIM standby smartphone is 12 percent thinner with comparison to the Mi 4, and 13 percent lighter, it is 130 grams and 7.8mm. Both SIM card slots support 4G LTE connectivity.
The Xiaomi Mi 4i has a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) laminated OGS Corning Concore IPS display, it is said to provide the same protection as the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Xiaomi Mi 4i has a pixel density of 441ppi, with Sunlight Display feature that optimises the display for visibility under bright light.
The Xiaomi Mi 4i runs on MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, also supports 6 Indian languages like Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, Kannada, and Tamil. It is powered by 2GB of RAM & 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor coupled an Adreno 405 GPU.
The Xiaomi Mi 4 have 16GB of inbuilt storage capacity. The Mi 4i comes with a 3120mAh battery, having quick charge feature that charges the battery up to 40 percent in 1 hour, and 100 percent in 3 hours.
